It works when your signal does not.

A hospital room, a church hall, a basement shower and grandma’s living room all eat your signal. Making a card never needs it. Here is exactly what works with no signal, and what has to wait.

The Studio saves itself to your phone the first time you open it with a signal. Do that on your home wifi, then add it to your home screen. After that it opens with no signal at all.

  1. Open CardMyBaby in your phone’s browser while you still have a signal.
  2. Add it to your home screen. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install.
  3. Open it once from the icon. Turn on airplane mode and try it. If the Studio opens, you are set.

Questions

Before you start.

Is this only for the first year, or for pregnancy and baby showers too?
All of it. There are moments for the announcement, the bump, the gender reveal, the baby shower and the nursery, then the birth day, coming home and every stage of the first year up to the first birthday.
Does it really work with no signal?
Yes, once you have opened it with a signal first. Open CardMyBaby on your phone and add it to your home screen. After that, making, numbering and saving cards all happen on your phone. Sharing needs a connection, which you can do later.
Do I have to install an app?
There is no app store download. CardMyBaby is a web app you add to your home screen. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, tap Install.
Are my baby's photos uploaded?
No. Your photo stays on your phone. Only the finished card is uploaded, and only when you share it or save it to an account.
Who can see my baby's cards?
Only the people you share them with. A card is not listed anywhere and search engines do not find it. Anyone who has a card's link or scans its code can open that one card, so share it the way you would share a photo.
Do you print cards?
No. CardMyBaby is digital only. You can save any card as a picture and print it wherever you like.
What if I lose my phone?
Cards saved to your account follow you. Sign in with your email on a new phone and they are all there.
Is a card an official record?
No. A card is a keepsake. Its serial number is not a birth certificate or any official record, and CardMyBaby is an independent service, not affiliated with or endorsed by any hospital, brand or company.
Is it free?
The Studio is free to start, and every color and every scene is free. One paid plan, $39.99 for your baby's whole first year, adds the gold foil, coin and arch finish and unlimited sets. While we are in early access everything is unlocked and nothing is charged.
Can I delete my account and my cards?
Yes, at any time, from inside the Studio or from cardmybaby.com/delete-account. Nothing has to be requested by email.
